Malta offers its Digital Nomad Residency for 6 months stay, but it can be extended for 1 year Digital Nomad Residence Permit. It allows you to live in an English speaking country with great climate and culture and join a developed expats community.

Requirements
  • Filled application form
  • A decent scan copy of passport of your non-EU citizenship country (valid for six months beyond the expiry date of the visa)
  • Proof of employment outside Malta

As a freelancer: contracts

Full-time employee: letter of confirmation from the company, signed by director/CEO

Entrepreneur:

  • company ownership or partnership statement
  • Proof that the applicant works remotely and independent on location, using telecommunications technologies
  • Full health insurance
  • Proof of required minimal income ( EUR 2,700/month gross of tax)
  • A valid property rental or purchase agreement in Malta for duration of your stay

  • Pay the €300 of administrative fee for each applicant
  • You will be notified when the process is complete
  • Get your invitation for the final appointment in Malta
