The digital nomad visa in Greece can be valid for up to 12 months, but can be extended to a residence permit for two years (with the possibility to renew for two more years). The two main requirements - proved minimum income and remote work.

Requirements:
  • Filled application form
  • A decent scan copy of passport of your non-EU citizenship country (valid for six months beyond the expiry date of the visa)
  • Proof of EUR 3,500 gross monthly income
  • Proof that the applicant works remotely and independent on location, using telecommunications technologies
  • Full health insurance
  • Applicants must sign a personal statement confirming that they intend to stay in Greece but will not engage in local work.
  • Proof of employment outside Greece
-as a freelancer: contracts
-full-time employee: letter of confirmation from the company, signed by director/CEO
-entrepreneur: company ownership or partnership statement


Other requirements:
If you want to renew the residence permit, you should not be absent from the country more than 6 months per year.
Process:
  • Prepare all required documents translated in english and notarised
  • Apply through the Greek Consulate where you reside via email or letter
  • Get a response in 10 days
  • If approved, you’re going to be issued with a Greece Digital Nomad Visa by the Greek Ministry of Migration and Asylum.

Requirements for your family:
Greece Digital Nomad Visa scheme allows you to add your family members under your application. The eligible family members are:
  • Your spouse
  • Your children, under the age of 18
The family members of the applicant can also get an individual visa and/or a residence that expires at the same time as the digital nomad visa. In this case, the required amount of minimum income is bigger - by 20% for the spouse and by 15% for each child. The family members are also not allowed to have any kind of dependent work or professional activity in Greece.
